This place has a great location in the mountains with beautiful views of the valley, friendly staff, and rooms with a terrace.

Panoramic views of São Vicente's mountains: I felt like I was in a painting, surrounded by majestic peaks that took my breath away. Canoeing at Calhau Beach: Paddling in the crystal-clear waters, I felt like I was exploring a hidden paradise, truly an unforgettable experience. Modern kitchen with a wood stove: Cooking in this kitchen was like creating a masterpiece, with the warmth of the wood stove adding a touch of magic to every dish. Various activities available: From cycling along scenic routes to fishing in peaceful lakes, there was never a dull moment at this property.

The staff was friendly and helpful, suggesting great places to visit, and I loved having WiFi and a kitchen area in the room.

The room with very comfortable bed. The location was marvellous and good, close to gardens and forests. The hotel was a good base for enjoying a quiet area.

The rooms were really nice and clean, and the view from the window was breathtaking. The location was also great, with lots of hiking trails nearby for outdoor enthusiasts like myself. One more perk was the delicious breakfast that was served every morning.

The Wi-Fi in the rooms was quite weak and sometimes didn't work at all. Another downside was that there was no phone signal in the downstairs rooms, which was a bit inconvenient.

Do recommend, I appreciated to spend time here!

The setting is unbeatable and favourable, short walk to the slopes of Sao Vicente and Porto Moniz. Again, it is just a short stroll away from Rosario. The double room overlooks mountain and includes a dishwasher, coffee and tea making equipment, and a refrigerator.

As trekkers and group of friends, we loved the greenery, perfect location, and cleanliness of the place. the shared kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, and the owner, Helena, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. She even did our laundry and provided basic breakfast items and fruits. the shared living room had local liquor and Madeira wine for us to try, which made us feel truly welcome. the location of the house was ideal, as it allowed us to explore the entire island within a short drive.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The staff, especially Helena, was incredibly helpful and kind. She stayed up late to welcome us and even woke up early to prepare breakfast. The hotel is located in a peaceful environment, surrounded by nature and mountains. It's also conveniently located in the middle of the island, making it easy to reach all the tourist services and attractions. The room was spacious, cozy, and had access to a terrace. The bathroom had a large shower and there were plenty of facilities like a shared kitchen and common area with a TV and board games. The breakfast was delicious and there were complimentary Madeira wines available. the hotel had excellent cleanliness and provided a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Hard to think of anything negative about this hotel.

The flat-screen TV in our room was perfect for our late-night movie marathons with the DVD player. And guess what? No age limit for our squad, even our friend's baby under 3 stayed for free! Plus, the location was so rad, close to all the coolest party spots on the island. Can't wait to go back and turn up again!

Only one tiny thing, we wish there were more party games or a pool table in the common area. It would've added that extra fun factor for us young party-goers.

I chose Solar Do Carvalho specifically to visit Viewpoint of Bica da Cana and I wasn't disappointed. The location was perfect and I loved the modern kitchen with a wood stove and dining room.

Host availability limited in mornings and insufficient lighting in the bathroom for shaving.

The room I stayed in had large windows that offered breathtaking views of the gardens and mountains. As a nature lover, waking up to such a stunning sight was truly magical.

Personally, I found the shared kitchen to be a bit crowded at times. But I understand that others may still enjoy the communal cooking experience.

We had an exceptional stay at a beautiful accommodation in the Sao Vicente Valley. The room was comfortable and quiet, and the access to the well-equipped kitchen was a bonus. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast and the host, Ms Helena, made us feel right at home. I highly recommend this hotel for a tranquil and memorable vacation.

The rooms, kitchen, and common areas were spacious, well-equipped, and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway.
